I had the JRSC installed a couple of weeks ago and she's really running bad. I'm sure it's my fuel but ive already spent sooooo much money on all the mods that i thought would take care of it like the JR map controller, JR BTC, Cartech FMU, etc... I'm definitly going to need a new clutch as well and they're not cheap, and im sure im gonnna need plenty of dyno time in order to get the car in good running shape. this car is my daily driver and i can't have it running like crap on me. Im almost at the point of spending the money to have it taken off rather then getting myself into a deeper hole and continue spending money on it. i want to keep the blower on sooo bad but dont konw if i can afford it. How much is it approx per hour at a dyno and how much is a new clutch?? Also if you can write me some success stories to get me out of this slump thad me great. thanks guys Mat

Well for one, dont confuse the clutch costs with the JRSC costs.
Some unanswered questions:
You added these things to make the 6 psi setup run better ? or run 8-9+ PSI. If for 6, yeah, I'd be pissed, esp at my installer. Plenty of people have it installed without all that stuff.
If for 8-9+ PSI, you cant really complain, many others before have had to do the same things (and you researched about it all over this board before plunging, right ?).Or you could have just plunged in without the safeguards and risked blowing your engine...
Sorry if this isnt what you wanted to hear, but I repeat it like a mantra for all newbies that come to the board.
By the time I go to 9-10 PSI, I will have spent about $5K for the JRSC (more if you figure the brakes, suspension, etc). And it's all worth it when I dust riceboys, musclecars, and the occasional Ultimate Driving Machine.

I haven't been around alot lately but I will say this, going fast ain't cheap. So if you are, you might as well get out while you can cause once you are in, you are in. I'm sitting at 10-12 psi and I have spend a good chunck on the parts that might it work and I have been working to get those parts to work together for about 3 months. Patients and money is what it is gonna take so if you are short on either, it would be wise to pull out now. I really hope you aren't at 6psi but if so, you really need to get to not just a tuner, but someone who knows how to tune a JRSC setup (not very hard, but def. takes familiarity with the components. Good luck w/ the car

I was in the same boat for almost a year until I went with the Hondata setup. Luckily I only went as deep as the JR BTC. Check it out. http://www.hondata.com/jrscproblems.html

That sucks man. It should have ran decently well at 6 psi with just what was supplied by JR. Meaning the FMU and the Fuel pump. If you are still at 6 psi this is what I would do. Remove all the extraneous stuff. Keep the Cartech(since you have it) and the fuel pump. All that other electronic crap goes out for a while. Get teh car running right. Pretty easy to do. Set the static FP at 58 and the rise rate to approz 5:1. It shoudl run good. If it doesnt the install was fucked up. Then add the things you have bought one at a time. That way if there is a problem you will know where the problem is at.
it should just take a little work. Hopefully there is someone from here in the area who can lend a little knowledge first hand instead of over the Net.

wow. So you have it at 12 psi. Oddly enough I just spoke with a customer who was in Ithaca getting her phone setup, and she was at whatever school is there. Wierd.
